Tides Family Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources to children, adolescents, and families facing various challenges. The overall mission of Tides is to ensure that youth can live in a community-based setting. As an "Agency Without Walls," Tides delivers services in homes, communities, schools, and wherever the youth are located. The Caseworker position is integral to the Outreach and Tracking Program at Tides Family Services, focusing on youth who are struggling with school attendance and are at risk of involvement or currently involved with Truancy Court, Family Court, and/or the Child Welfare System. The primary aim of this program is to enhance school attendance and performance while improving overall functioning within the home and community. Caseworkers are responsible for providing in-home and community strengths-based support to clients and families, which includes daily face-to-face attempts and on-call responsibilities as per team schedules. They work collaboratively with an integrated team of caseworkers, behavioral assistants, and clinicians to develop treatment goals, conduct evaluations, provide resources and advocacy, perform routine assessments, and assist with transportation and adaptive living skills. Building relationships with clients and families is crucial, as is providing counseling and other services to ensure safety. Additionally, caseworkers will build and sustain collaborations with community partners, including health, education, vocation, legal, and family intervention providers, to increase access to services. They will also serve as a liaison and advocate between the program, community, and surrounding neighbors to foster partnerships. All work must be conducted in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics, and caseworkers are required to complete clinical documentation in the Agency's Electronic Health Record as needed. Participation in all required program meetings, including daily group supervision, is also expected. Furthermore, caseworkers will coordinate activities and resources that can benefit all clients and families within Tides Family Services.
