About The Position

The Casework Coordinator provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other ORR-eligible immigrants to support successful resettlement and long-term self-sufficiency. This role combines direct client support with responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of resettlement casework services. The Coordinator manages a team of caseworkers, ensures compliance with program standards, and collaborates with colleagues and community partners to connect clients with resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of case management experience in a social services environment.
  • Experience supervising or leading teams strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in English required; bilingual ability in Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee/immigrant language preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Must possess or be eligible for a fingerprint clearance card per Arizona state law.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate pre-arrival case preparation, including case assurance, communication with U.S. ties, and liaising with IRC headquarters processing teams.
  • Assign new cases to caseworkers and ensure timely delivery of core services (airport pickups, home visits, school enrollment, public benefits, etc.).
  • Provide oversight of case files and ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with donor and IRC standards.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload of clients, ensuring direct services are provided to meet mandated requirements.
  • Supervise caseworkers, providing coaching, daily guidance, performance feedback, and support for professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective internal and external referrals and coordinated service delivery.
  • Support program reporting by reviewing and preparing compliance documentation and contributing to donor reports.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive environment for staff and clients, ensuring adherence to IRC policies, safeguarding, and ethical service delivery.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
