About The Position

Youth Services System, Inc. is committed to responding to the complex needs of youth at serious risk. For over 45 years, Youth Services System, Inc. has reached tens of thousands of youth and their families with our shelter, residential, community-based and professional services. This is a Youth Services System Case Worker position; however, work with the WV DHHR Offices

Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field required.
  • Two years of experience with target population preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Successful completion of a Background Check
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Knowledge and experience with adolescents with mental health diagnosis
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of various systems including child welfare, mental health, education, and judicial
  • Excellent time management and organizing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records Systems
  • Ability to manage a caseload
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Proficient and accurate documentation
  • Ability to use Adobe and Microsoft software
  • Requires valid Social Worker License or License eligibility
  • Must have valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance as required by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers QMHP/C Certification.
  • Prefers 2-3 year experience with youth/young adults with mental health and substance abuse diagnosis

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of youth services clients as assigned.
  • Ensure adequate and comprehensive assessment of client needs, and develop a plan of services.
  • Advocate for client and family needs and services with the court system, human service providers, health systems, and other providers and agencies as necessary. Develop and maintain complete, accurate case record documentation, and follow established timelines.
  • Travel is required, as is attendance at all meetings and court hearings.
  • Must be willing to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of clients
