Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to attorneys, litigants, law enforcement personnel, and the general public.
  • Assist the public in filling out forms and applications and respond to routine requests for information concerning cases, scheduling, and court procedures.
  • Perform general case intake duties, including receiving court papers and documents, making docket entries, and preparing case file folders.
  • Prepare and enter complaints, petitions, summonses, and other standard form documents into the automated case processing system.
  • Send out notices to various parties and attorneys.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, route callers, take messages, and provide routine information in response to inquiries.
  • Copy, file, retrieve, and sort court papers and documents according to established procedures.
  • Process outgoing mail and perform cashiering duties, including receiving money and issuing receipts.
  • Maintain statistical data concerning case processing activities.
