Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or one year of directly related industry experience required.
  • Experience and/or training related to reviewing law enforcement documentation such detention files, custodial records, or immigration case files including A-files and DHS databases, or previous experience conducting interviews for immigration or detention related purposes required.
  • Must be able to disseminate verbal instructions or training clearly and in a manner that is understood by the intended audience.
  • Must be able to write memorandums and reports in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
  • Ability to interpret complex written and oral communication, documents, and instructions.
  • Ability to make and implement decisions without assistance.
  • Ability to give instructions and have them conducted.
  • Proficient with general PC application software products (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must have resided in the United States or its territories for the last five (5) years.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements related to immigration case processing.

Responsibilities

  • The Case Processing Specialist Supervisor provides guidance in the processing of cases, immigration records management, and document preparation process for ICE Personnel. Works under the general direction of ICE field office personnel.
  • The Case Processing Specialist Supervisor leads Case Processing Specialist in processing cases and performing all peripheral activities, immigration records management, and document preparation.
  • Assists the preparation, review and management of case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation.
  • The Case Processing Specialist Supervisor ensures Alien Files (A-files) and ICE systems reflect a case status that is updated, accurate, and complete.
  • Ensures case processing staff maintain and update electronic and paper-based case files, ensuring compliance with federal privacy laws, DHS policies, and federal data security requirements.
  • The Case Processing Specialist Supervisor retrieves, compiles, and organizes county, state, and federal court records, conviction documents, and supporting case materials from multiple databases, and other government sources.
  • Maintains up-to-date case status records, court scheduling details, and case tracking logs.
  • Ensures the generation of case status reports and monitoring dashboards.
  • Assists with docket coordination with EOIR and USCIS. Coordinates with ICE officers to facilitate interviews, hearings, removals, and case updates.
  • Reviews appropriate paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensures all administrative applications are reviewed, A-files are updated, and docket officers timely notified for appropriate law enforcement action.
  • Tracks compliance with release conditions and report violations, as applicable.
  • Assists ICE Office of Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) in obtaining criminal history checks and other supporting documentation as needed prior to court.
  • Assists ICE personnel with scheduling and coordinating interviews between detainees and ICE officers, consulates, and legal representatives, as assigned.
  • Directs the organization and preparation of removal documents and coordinates with ICE personnel for scheduling removal and staging flights. Ensure all documentation is prepared and accurate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
