Case Mix Group Coordinator PRN Days Position Summary The Case Mix Group Coordinator is responsible for completing each Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) form completely, accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1 year inpatient rehabilitation or acute care experience including progressively more responsible clinical and/or quality assuracne/utilziation review experience.
  • Current licensure based on education and as required by state to practice profession.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing for nursing school graduates.
  • 2+ years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care.

Responsibilities

  • The main job duties include monitoring and inputting appropriate information for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI)
  • reviewing each IRF-PAI for accuracy
  • coordinating with various hospital departments to ensure timely submission of the document and assuring that final forms are available to HIM and the final codes are provided to the billing office in a timely manner.
  • Also responsible for documentation of medical necessity audits and analyzing accuracy of functional measure scoring.
  • Job duties also include the training of new rehab hires on the process of capturing functional measures.
