About The Position

The Franklin House Transitional Housing Program provides housing for homeless women and their children in a home like atmosphere. The families are each provided a private and comfortable living space in which they reside for approximately 12 months. During this period of time, the women are involved in educational programs, build work-readiness skills, secure employment, gain parenting, financial and other daily living skills. Staff are on-site 24/7 to provide services and support as needed. Requirements

  • High school degree required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks/drug screen
  • A valid driver's license, no more than 5 points or DUI in last 3 years
  • Ability to pass and maintain required Agency and program- specific trainings
  • Must possess valid NJ/NY/PA driver's license
  • In order to be eligible for employment, applicant must not have more than 5 points on their driving record and no DUIs within the last 3 years.
  • Computer skills a must !

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with the homeless population preferred
  • BA & Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in developing goals oriented towards gaining self-sufficiency, parenting skills, finding permanent housing, etc.
  • Provide on-site services and support, including provision of direct service to clients in areas such as money management, daily living skills, psycho-education, work readiness skills, etc., in order to be able to transition into permanent housing
  • Provide transportation as needed to assist with child care, grocery shopping and other needs in the community.
  • Support families personal outcomes to enhance quality of life
  • Utilize an electronic health record (EHR) system to write clear and concise progress notes
  • Ability to pass all Agency and program specific trainings
