Our agency-owned home is in Jeannette, PA that has a dedicated foster parent temporarily caring for sibling groups in need of long-term foster care placement. Why Choose Adelphoi? Requirements

  • 1-3 years of youth/family counseling and or case management
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other similarly related behavioral disciplines
  • Strong 1:1 and small group communication skills
  • Knowledge of the foster care system and associate regulations preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license and car insurance
  • FBI Fingerprinting, Act 33/34 Child Abuse clearance, PA Criminal Background Check (agency assistance provided upon hire offer)

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support and deliver case management services for up to 6 youths in residence with an on-site office located in the Jeannette home with the possibility of other youth cases assigned in other foster homes as needed.
  • Develop individualized service plans to inspire emotional, intellectual, and social growth
  • Build relationships while setting boundaries for the foster parent in residence, the children under care, the birth family, children and youth services, and court-related authorities
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate assistance when needed
  • Maintain accurate records in Adelphoi’s Electronic Health Record system on a daily basis to include documenting communications, writing reports, developing Individual Service Plans, documenting casework session notes, and any other required documents or workflows in the Client Module.
  • Sustain regular communications with those involved with the clients.
  • Assess foster family and environment ongoing to ensure physical and psychological safety. Provide trainings for the foster family. Maintain all needed paperwork for foster family to maintain foster parent licensure and achieve re-certification annually. All paperwork and workflows are completed within the Resource Parent Module within the Electronic Health Record.
  • Assist with family visitation when needed.
  • Manage a normal Monday through Friday schedule with some flexibility around school and youth needs. May require evenings and weekends occasionally.
