This position will support the organization’s mission, vision and values. Candidate will apply knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity, along with their spiritual and emotional needs into the provision of patient care. He/She contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. He/She must have the ability to work under pressure and in conditions of frequent interruption. Must utilize considerable initiative and judgment while performing duties in an area where procedures are standardized but frequent independent decisions are required. Help maintain high quality care with effective utilization of hospital facilities and services and resources. Assist in the promotion and maintenance of high quality care through review of clinical practices within the hospital based on pre-established criteria. He/She will be assigned to a specific unit or area and will perform thorough chart review and coordinate with healthcare team members to monitor admissions and continued stay for appropriateness and medical necessity. Interviewing patients and families to identify discharge planning needs and patient/family preferences and obtain or coordinate these services. This position requires knowledge in the care of patients served as indicated: Infant to adolescence is 0 to 17 years, Adult is 18 to 65 years, and Geriatric is 65 years and above.
