About The Position

Speaks Law Firm is seeking an experienced high volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our Wilmington team. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working with a high volume of personal injury claims in NC.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) plus years of experience working with NC personal injury claims
  • Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues
  • Must be able to work on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pm Mon-Fri

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Paralegal certificate a plus
  • Needles/Neos experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals
  • Demonstrate key performance indicators and drive tasks to completion
  • Communicate daily with insurance and health adjusters regarding policies, PIP logs and statement coordination
  • Monitor client medical treatment
  • Assist clients with scheduling of doctor's appointments and transportation if applicable
  • Verify client's insurance coverage
  • Request client records from health care providers
  • Understand subrogation liens and disputing unrelated charges
  • Complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments
  • Routine client communication regarding treatment, scheduling, wage loss, etc.
  • Act as liaison between client and adjusters regarding property damage coverage
  • Send requests for information including medical records and billing
  • Assist lead case managers with identifying and investigating conflicts of interest
  • Collaborate with dedicated case managers, legal assistants, and balance clerks
  • Organize and maintain client files in Neos CMS
  • Other duties as assigned by management
