About The Position

The Case Manager - Life Coach position at Jim Riley Outreach involves supporting young adults who have aged out of foster care or are experiencing homelessness. The role focuses on providing guidance, accountability, and resources to help residents achieve personal growth and stability. The Case Manager will conduct regular meetings, track progress, enforce program policies, and facilitate life skills classes, all while fostering a supportive environment for residents.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college is preferred, in psychology, behavioral health, or social work.
  • A mature Christian faith and ability to discuss biblical issues with clarity.
  • Knowledgeable about working with vulnerable populations and understanding their unique needs.
  • Must have a Texas driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work with young adults with varying degrees of emotional behavior and related issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; social media skills are a plus.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Working knowledge of case management protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with at-risk youth or similar populations.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and mediation.
  • Experience in program development or community outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly meetings with residents to monitor program progress and provide accountability toward goals and financial habits.
  • Track resident progress and goals met to ensure forward progress and meet graduation requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce program policies and disciplinary procedures as needed.
  • Track resident perseverance points and provide updates to senior staff.
  • Coordinate appointments with outside resources and provide transportation if needed.
  • Make connections to additional resources that will aid in resident success.
  • Ensure residents have basic needs met, including clothing and food for the initial month.
  • Close out files when residents transition out of the program.
  • Keep files and paperwork up to date.
  • Support resident transitions when they leave the program.
  • Administer drug tests as needed.
  • Facilitate Thursday night dinners, including meal planning and preparation.
  • Oversee and teach life skills classes weekly.
  • Assist in planning celebration parties and writing resident achievement papers.
  • Conduct interviews and intake for residents into the JRO program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
