About The Position

At Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA), we believe that every person deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen. For decades, we’ve helped newcomers find their footing — and now, we’re looking for someone special to walk with the Haitian community on that same journey. We’re hiring a Case Manager – Haitian Community to serve as a trusted guide and advocate — helping families not just survive, but truly thrive.

Requirements

• Fluency in Haitian Creole and English.
• Strong understanding of the power of compassion and the importance of cultural connection.
• Patience, resourcefulness, and a purpose-driven mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in social services or community outreach.
• Familiarity with the Haitian community and its needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to Haitian individuals and families — helping them access housing, healthcare, employment, and education.
• Conduct outreach and build partnerships with Haitian-led organizations, churches, and service providers.
• Host workshops in Haitian Creole to educate and empower community members.
• Advocate for families to ensure they receive the services, respect, and resources they deserve.
