Suncoast Center offers a variety of programs such as intensive community based mental health, forensic programs, office-based mental health and substance use care, as well as programs designed to assist children and their families in an effort to capture the needs of the entire community. Case managers are a valuable asset to the community and we would love for you to join our team and share your knowledge and experience while serving our community. Case managers coordinate with client’s family members and community supports to ensure client needs are met and all involved with a client’s treatment work together. Case managers are an integral part of our Clinical Care Team. The successful team member will have compassion for the clients we serve, knowledge of community resources and excellent clinical skills with a recovery orientation. These positions require strong time management skills and flexibility to meet the ongoing needs of our clients. A case management position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in social work, psychology or other related human services field with at least one year of experience in serving clients with mental health and/or substance use needs. The team member will be able to demonstrate a strong orientation to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and has had experience working collaboratively with diverse groups of staff and community partners. Case managers ensure that clients have a safe and affordable place to live, necessary medical and dental services, ability to learn activities of daily living, vocational assistance, substance abuse treatment and other services they may request. All case management services are tied to the individualized treatment plan which is incorporated into every service. Case managers at Suncoast Center assist clients in developing realistic effective and measurable treatment plan goals and objectives. They provide direct clinical services that use solution –oriented strategies of intervention and principles of recovery that are consistent with best practice principles. Some of the programs at Suncoast Center require that case managers provide on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime and weekend hours as requested.
