About The Position

The Case Management Supervisor will provide administrative oversight for the case management teams across four outpatient mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) facilities, including the management of a growing virtual case management program. Work with the Clinical Director or licensed providers for clinical direction. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, coordinated, and recovery-oriented care that complies with all regulatory and ethical standards. The supervisor is responsible for staff development, quality assurance, program coordination across multiple sites, and managing complex client situations in both in-person and telehealth environments. Work schedules are determined by the employer based on agency needs. Permanent schedule changes will be provided in writing with an explanation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of case management experience, preferably within a mental health or SUD treatment environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health and SUD treatment modalities, the addictive process, withdrawal, and recovery principles (e.g., ASAM criteria).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex crisis intervention and stabilization techniques.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to client advocacy and recovery.
  • (Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a human services field, an equivalent combination of education and experience, or a minimum of two years of experience serving individuals with behavioral health issues. Evidence of experience must be documented in the employee's personnel record. )

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with virtual healthcare platforms and electronic health records (EHR) is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Supervision & Staff Management: Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and performance evaluation for case managers across all facilities and virtual platforms.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment and recovery plans for clients with co-occurring disorders.
  • Provide crisis intervention support and guidance to staff during acute client situations.
  • Program and Operations Coordination: Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless continuity of care and service delivery across four physical locations and virtual platforms.
  • Collaborate with the facility directors and interdisciplinary teams to integrate case management services with other disciplines (e.g., therapy, psychiatry, medical staff).
  • Monitor access to care and reduce barriers to services, particularly for diverse and underserved populations, in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Virtual Case Management Oversight: Ensure effective implementation of virtual case management services, including addressing logistical and technological barriers for clients and staff.
  • Develop and implement protocols and best practices for remote assessments, check-ins, and documentation while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Assure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to mental health, SUD treatment, and telehealth.
  • Conduct regular audits of client records and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of case management services.
  • Community & Resource Linkage: Liaise with community partners, external agencies, and local resources to build a robust network of support for clients.
  • Educate clients and their families about available community resources, benefits, and support systems to foster self-sufficiency.
