About The Position

The Case Management Assistant provides support to the Case Management Department through communication and coordination with various community resources, payers, providers, patients, and families. This position is also responsible for all clerical functions in support of the department in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

  • High School education required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with ability to handle highly sensitive or confidential issues.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Critical thinking skills with ability to analyze information for appropriate resources.
  • Flexibility in a changing environment.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and format data.
  • Ability to make simple arithmetic calculations and prepare correspondence and reports.
  • Expert application of writing skills including rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Proofreading skills at the 100% level.
  • Filing, indexing, organizational and general secretarial skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Notary desired.
  • Previous Case Management experience preferred.
  • One year secretarial experience preferred.
