About The Position

The Case Former plays a key role in the packaging process by forming the correct number of cases, inserting bags, and supporting packaging line operations to meet daily production demands. This position ensures packaging accuracy, quality, and food safety standards are consistently maintained.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds
• Comfortable operating a pallet jack
• Basic technology proficiency
• Ability to read and understand measurements
• Ability to traverse stairs, ladders, and lifts
• Comfortable working in a noisy and cold environment
• Understanding of SDS locations and how to read them
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BRC standards
• Commitment to safety, health, environmental, and company policies
• Minimum 1 year experience in a food manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Form the appropriate number of cases based on packaging demand
• Insert bags into cases accurately and efficiently
• Assist coworkers in the packaging area as needed
• Provide line support during employee breaks and lunch periods
• Operate a pallet jack safely
• Read and understand measurements to ensure proper case setup
• Maintain a clean, swept, and organized work area
• Perform sanitation tasks during shutdowns or plant breakdowns
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Leader and/or Supervisor
• Follow all company safety rules, GMPs, and policies
• For all assigned tasks, ensure compliance with product quality standards and food safety requirements. Immediately notify QA of any deviations.
