About The Position

Case Assistant Cooley is seeking a Case Assistant Position summary: The Case Assistant (Corporate) is responsible for providing organizational and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in the Business Department. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Position responsibilities: General: · Assist with company formations · Provide support with venture capital financings of private companies, mergers and acquisitions, IPO’s and other business transactions · Assist in preparing corporate and securities filings and conduct related research · Maintain corporate records and assist with compiling and organizing documents and information related to business transactions and clients · Assist in preparing legal opinions and assembling opinion back-up · Prepare stock certificates and maintain capitalization tables and option records · Coordinate closings and prepare related documents · Obtain and file documents with public agencies · All other duties as assigned or required Other: · Bill a minimum of 1600 hours annually · Input and release billable time and complete Workday timelogs on a timely basis, in addition to other administrative duties · All other duties as assigned or required Cooley LLP offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits program. EOE. The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $31.00 - $33.00 ($64,480.00 - $68,640.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate. Requirements

  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Available to work overtime, as required
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel and to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
