About The Position

Aperture is currently seeking a Case Analyst. Candidates should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative consulting environment, which requires a high degree of self-motivation, professionalism, organization, responsiveness, and resilience. As a Case Analyst, you will provide professional support services to case expert teams. You will be responsible for assisting engineers with reading, summarizing depositions, assisting with drafting reports, researching file materials, and creating exhibits and illustrations.

Requirements

  • Some college or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a professional services firm, such as law or engineering consulting, is preferred.
  • Excellent grammatical skills are required, and the ability to learn and operate communication software, and equipment.
  • Computer Software: Intermediate use of programs include email, word processing, presentation, project management, database, spreadsheet, and other professional software.
  • Business Communications Skills: Ability to proofread and correct complex documents. Communicate with clients and co-workers. Office etiquette. Document processing. Drafting internal and external communications. General data analysis.
  • Technical Writing: Ability to summarize complex topics and simplify for non-technical consumption.
  • The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
  • The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
  • The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
  • The ability to operate phones and computers

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, summarize incoming case material and/or depositions, analyze documents and exhibits for an internal expert team to review and comment.
  • As directed, collect, review, and analyze data charts, budgets, and other presentation materials.
  • Assist and support experts with research for testimony or due diligence.
  • Research and analyze sources such as prior casework or major determinations.
  • Research legal and engineering databases for applicable or relevant materials to support conclusions.
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders relative to timelines, clarify details, provide or obtain explanations, and other matters.
  • Participate in company-wide or site-wide administrative projects and/or training as directed.
  • May be responsible for creating reports and distributing them on a regular schedule
