About The Position

The Case Aide collaborates closely with the Case Management team and leadership to support the Home Study and Post-Release Services program. Core responsibilities include accurate data entry, conducting surveys, contacting sponsors and youth as needed, and assisting with follow-up on referrals. Case Aides also help track service outcomes, provide logistical and administrative support, and contribute to the efficient flow of day-to-day operations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to promote the overall success and effectiveness of the program.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Bilingual in Spanish written, read and verbal. Must clear a language proficiency test for Spanish.
  • One year of experience working in a social service environment
  • One year of experience in a professional office environment
  • Child Welfare and or case management experience
  • Attained age 21 years or older before first day of employment in position (ORR)
  • We consider education, training, experience and demonstrated skills.
  • Pass a criminal history background check though Morrison and a suitability determination investigation through the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
  • 40 hours of required training per year.

  • Knowledge of adolescent developmental issues, trauma, abuse and neglect, substance abuse and dependence, delinquency, peer influence, and related group and individual interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the case management team to support case managers and case workers in making referrals for clients.
  • Assist with creating, filing, closing, and maintaining accurate client records.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into designated databases and case management systems.
  • Conduct client and sponsor surveys to assess ongoing needs and service satisfaction.
  • Schedule appointments and send mail or emails to families on behalf of the Case Manager as needed.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of service outcomes.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all program policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Complete Mandated Reporter responsibilities in accordance with local and state requirements whenever a child’s safety may be at risk.
  • Remain flexible with days and hours of work to meet program needs.
  • Participate in the practice and implementation of the Sanctuary Model.
  • Support other key areas of the program as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Assistant Program Director or Program Director to ensure successful program operations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
  • Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; model professional behaviors and implement improvements to business practices with awareness of their impact in a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare organization.
