The Case Aide II position is a full-time role under direct supervision, primarily focused on providing clerical support to the Benefits Program and/or Services Program Divisions. The employee in this role is expected to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative while completing assignments. A significant aspect of the job involves interacting with program applicants, families, children, and the general public, necessitating a high degree of tact, courtesy, and discretion. For some positions, bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are required to assist customers effectively during telephone and face-to-face interactions, as well as translating written documents and correspondence. In the Services Program Division, the Case Aide II will be responsible for organizing and maintaining various reports, files, and forms. This includes composing and typing correspondence, ensuring correctness in spelling, punctuation, format, and grammar. The aide will assist Services staff by completing computer inquiries, pulling case files, creating and mailing letters, and filing cases. Additional responsibilities include requesting and acquiring essential documents such as death certificates, birth certificates, and social security cards. The aide will also complete Adult Protective Services Guardianship reports, conduct Accurint searches, and manage the after-hours Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services On-Call calendar. The role also involves transporting children, families, and adult clients for visitation purposes or appointments, supervising children during family partnership meetings, and transcribing case notes into the OASIS system. The aide will be responsible for purchasing and picking up supplies, assisting with mailings for large projects, and maintaining a car seat log. The position requires attending trainings and unit meetings, researching databases for information verification, and performing other related duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of experience in counseling or related social services work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
