About The Position

As a Case Aide, you’ll be part of a foster parent’s Bethany team, supporting them and the child in their care. You’ll train, equip, and help connect foster parents to community resources to meet the child’s needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of trauma and willingness to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care to support a trauma-informed environment
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to provide language interpretation services
  • Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks
  • Must be able to pass required medical examinations and have the physical ability to fulfill essential job functions, including physical restraints of a resident
  • Successfully pass an annual TB test and document preference to receive or decline Hepatitis immunization
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity

Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation to clients, including medical appointments, legal appointments, hearings, and other social service agencies
  • Effectively report children’s behaviors during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team
  • Assist with intake and discharge-related transportation, including out-of-state travel for reunification with a sponsor
  • Assist the medical team with administrative tasks, as needed
  • Provide language interpretation for clients during community appointments, as needed
  • Provide supervision of youth in the classroom, when needed
  • Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times, especially when supervising youth
  • Maintain knowledge of trauma and participate in ongoing training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to support a trauma-informed environment
  • Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department
  • May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany-sponsored event
  • Complete other duties as assigned
