Requirements

  • One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; OR
  • An associate degree in any field; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Clearly describe how you meet the minimum qualifications and essential attributes in your application materials.

  • Experience respecting cultural differences when communicating with customers in person, writing and over the phone.
  • Experience gathering documents and information from multiple sources.
  • Experience organizing documents into computer files.
  • Experience using time management, organization and prioritization to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with at risk youth or diverse communities.
  • Experience working independently to proactively identify and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Support caseworkers with office tasks, managing documentation, scheduling, and giving feedback.
  • Manage and monitor visitation agreements, explain expectations, document what happens, and ensure children's safety during visits and transport.
  • Contribute to risk and safety assessments, ensure timely health and family assessments, case plans, and support decisions and activities for change.
  • Identify and connect with relatives for placements and support, and coordinate background checks.
  • Support children being assessed for abuse or neglect and help them transition to temporary placements.
  • Attend and participate in case-related meetings, staffing sessions, and conferences
