About The Position

The Case Administrator (Special Projects) is responsible for providing both direct and indirect support to youth, families, and staff within the Juvenile Probation Department. This position also contributes to department-wide initiatives by supporting special projects. A key component of the role includes serving as a Positive Growth Facilitator, primarily utilizing the Journey.do online platform to engage youth. The position may involve delivering youth programming within a secure care environment. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Social Services, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field OR Combined education and experience qualifications: Prior probation or court-related experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • No prior criminal arrests
  • Knowledge of: The Criminal Justice System or the principals of Social Work
  • Computer software including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, database applications, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with justice-involved youth and/or youth-based programs

  • Experience in case management and/or project maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct support and case management for special project implementation and department-wide rollouts
  • Proficiency in the Journey.do platform to assist youth, families and staff with platform application as well as technical issues
  • Provides one-on-one and group programming support of Journey.do learning modules in a secure care setting
  • Completes Growth and Transition Plans for juveniles
  • Handles inquiries from the community and stakeholders
  • Assists in training both detention and probation staff on the Journey.do platform
  • Assists in the Internship and Volunteer Program by mentoring intern cohorts and fostering an educational work environment
  • Attends, conducts, and participates in program presentations, monthly meetings, and staffing of cases
  • Coordinates with Juvenile Probation Officers and community organizations for special project initiatives
  • Maintains accurate and thorough documentation regarding contacts with youth, families, probation officers, internal providers, and community providers
  • Assists with data collection as directed, including daily contacts, activities, internal audits, external audits, and bi-annual data collections
