About The Position

In the Meriden plant, a team member sets up and runs cartridge production equipment under supervision.

Requirements

  • Reliability and dependability are essential.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to accurately implement mentor support.
  • Should show strength in reading, speaking, and comprehending English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Reading: Read instructions for assembling equipment. Read books, looking up unfamiliar words in the dictionary for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation.
  • Writing: Print simple sentences containing subject, verb, and object, and series of numbers and names.
  • Speaking: Speak simple sentences, using normal word order, and present and past tenses.
  • Mathematical skills Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Perform the four operations with like common and decimal fractions.
  • Reasoning ability Employ rational judgment to follow detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions. Resolve issues with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to pass Vision screening.
  • The employee needs to lift 55 pounds alone, 70 pounds with help, and use mechanical lifting equipment for over 85 pounds.
  • They must perform various physical tasks like walking, bending, climbing, and working at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage LifeASSURE™ cartridge manufacturing machinery.
  • Setup pleaters and cartridge equipment for LifeASSURE™ cartridge operatives.
  • Teach operators on accurate techniques for operating equipment.
  • Keep records and location of cartridges produced.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Observe all company and OSHA safety rules and practices.
  • Check own work and work of other employees in the department and resolve any discrepancies with the team.
  • Assist other department members to ensure safety and improve output.
  • Perform various production operations safely and fill in on positions throughout manufacturing as required.
  • Aid in the development of fellow team members.
  • Access information via computer when needed.
