About The Position

The Cartage Coordinator is responsible for the dispatching of pickups and deliveries in the LAX area, ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight and information while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves communication with various stakeholders, including Expeditors employees and trucking companies, to meet service requirements and maintain strong relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department's needs
  • Must be able to commute to the city of Compton, CA
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
  • Comfortable working in a professional business environment.

  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Handle dispatching of all products for LAX Branch
  • Carry out effective tracking and tracing and monitoring of all pickups and deliveries for all products
  • Provide proactive communication with internal and external customers to meet pickup and delivery needs
  • Ensure timely pickup and delivery for all shipments
  • Manage workflow and dashboards
  • Follow up on delays and exception coding and reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Contribute to maintaining good relationships with internal and external customers as well as service providers
  • Work with product to meet service times and special customer requirements
