Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

  • The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction.
  • Administer medications accurately and safely to residents according to physician orders
  • Perform medication passes in a timely and organized manner
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and report any adverse reactions
  • Document medication administration and resident responses in the electronic medical record
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary care team as needed
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and inventory of medications on the cart
  • Follow all state regulations, facility policies, and infection control protocols
  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining professionalism
  • Assist with basic nursing assessments and report changes in resident condition
  • Support a positive team environment and collaborate with fellow nursing staff
  • Acts as an RN Supervisor if there are call offs
