Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
Responsibilities
- The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction.
- Administer medications accurately and safely to residents according to physician orders
- Perform medication passes in a timely and organized manner
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and report any adverse reactions
- Document medication administration and resident responses in the electronic medical record
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary care team as needed
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and inventory of medications on the cart
- Follow all state regulations, facility policies, and infection control protocols
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining professionalism
- Assist with basic nursing assessments and report changes in resident condition
- Support a positive team environment and collaborate with fellow nursing staff
- Acts as an RN Supervisor if there are call offs
