The Carrier Sourcing Manager is responsible for creating and developing partnerships with key carriers inside the WorldWide Logistics network.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics brokerage, carrier sales, and B2B sales
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Being a “go getter” and having the ability to identify and overcome sales objections
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment while hitting project deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills for “outside the box” solutions
- Knowledge and desire to learn more on the U.S. Freight market
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Source and onboard reliable/trustworthy carrier partners to fulfill WorldWide Logistics customers’ needs
- Negotiate rates and capacity for specific projects with their carrier network
- Manage key KPI metrics with their assigned carriers
- Collaborate with other Operations and Sales teams to ensure sufficient network capacity
- Identify Value-Add opportunities with closest carrier partners
- Introduce and educate select carrier partners to the WorldWide Load Board and maximize usage
- Identify potential carrier partners for drop trailer networks across the domestic U.S.
- Proactively prepare Worldwide Logistics carrier network and capacity for seasonal demand
