About The Position

We are seeking a driven and experienced Carrier Sales Team Leader to lead and develop our Boca Raton carrier sales team. This individual will be responsible for driving daily production, protecting margins, building strong carrier relationships, and creating accountability within the team. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven track record in carrier sales, understands market dynamics, and knows how to balance service and profitability in a fast-paced brokerage environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in freight brokerage or carrier sales
  • 1+ year of leadership or team lead experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of truckload market conditions and pricing strategies
  • Proven ability to drive margin and production goals
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Highly organized and performance-driven
  • Ability to work onsite in Boca Raton, FL

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Carrier Sales Representatives
  • Set daily and weekly performance expectations
  • Conduct one-on-ones and team strategy meetings
  • Foster a competitive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
  • Drive daily margin performance and protect profitability
  • Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
  • Ensure loads are covered efficiently without sacrificing service
  • Identify margin compression trends and implement corrective actions
  • Build and maintain strong carrier partnerships
  • Expand carrier network and capacity options
  • Ensure compliance, onboarding, and operational standards are met
  • Oversee load coverage and board strategy (DAT and other platforms)
  • Address service failures and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with customer sales to align pricing and execution
  • Track KPIs including margin %, volume, coverage time, and service levels
