Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience in transportation, brokerage, or logistics operations may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Industry Knowledge: Foundational understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including carrier operations, market dynamics, and supply chain processes.

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish, to support effective communication with a diverse carrier and client base.
  • Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) from the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (preferred).
  • Certificate of Professional Competency in Road Haulage Operations from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification, particularly in Excel (advantageous).
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from the Association for Supply Chain Management (advantageous).
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (advantageous).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify potential new carriers and establish lasting, professional relationships to expand the company's logistic network.
  • Use exceptional negotiation skills to secure cost-effective, high-quality transportation solutions for clients.
  • Monitor all load transportation from dispatch to delivery ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Account Managers to ensure seamless cargo movements and coordinate problem-solving activities.
  • Uphold the company's ethical standards, instilling honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness in every transaction and interaction.
  • Tactfully leverage company events, promotions, and other resources to enhance customer relationships and business opportunities.
  • Continuously improve professional competencies, striving for advancement to a higher tier position within the company.
