About The Position

The Carrier Recruiter plays a key role in delivering top-tier recruitment services for the Ryder organization, focusing on efficiency and leveraging cutting-edge recruitment methods. This role involves sourcing, interviewing, and recruiting Non-CDL, DOT Carriers with experience in white-glove, in-home delivery using 26' Box Trucks to support our clients. The ideal candidate will play a critical part in expanding and maintaining a pool of qualified carriers for existing operations and any new business ventures. This position is remote, allowing work from home.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent to four to eight years in a related field.
  • 2 years or more in full-life cycle recruiting.
  • Experience in transportation/logistics contract management.
  • 2 years or more in recruiting owner-operators or drivers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making ability.
  • Comfortable working remotely and in the field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and online search tools.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on building relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, RiskConnect, and OpenForce platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, interview, and refer Non-CDL, DOT owner-operators to site leadership for current and new operations.
  • Oversee recruitment processes from start to finish, ensuring all steps—sourcing, screening, onboarding—are completed efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with carriers, site leadership, compliance teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure a seamless and positive recruiting and onboarding experience for carrier candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and DOT regulations throughout the recruitment process.
  • Keep the management team informed with regular updates on market conditions and recruitment progress, using strong communication.
  • Position the organization as the partner of choice for potential carriers.
  • Collaborate with senior operations teams, site managers, and fellow recruiters to drive recruitment success.
  • Manage recruitment KPIs, executing strategies such as advertising, remote recruitment, and tracking progress.
  • Provide insights into recruitment strategies, market conditions, and potential challenges.
