About The Position

The Carrier Network Manager will oversee the brokerage division’s carrier sales operations, manage team performance, and drive strategic initiatives including the successful opening of a new Total Logistics location. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this role requires hands-on involvement in carrier negotiations, load coverage, and relationship management.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in logistics or freight brokerage.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in logistics systems (e.g., AS/400) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High level of initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or carrier sales.
• Experience opening or managing new operational locations.
• Familiarity with Total Logistics, 3PL, and brokerage operations.
• Familiarity with AS400, API and EDI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of National Freight Brokers and Leads, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Actively contribute to carrier sales by negotiating rates, covering loads, and building relationships.
• Oversee the launch and operational setup of a new Total Logistics location, including staffing, infrastructure, and compliance.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow carrier networks and improve gross profit margins.
• Monitor team KPIs including call volumes, load coverage, and carrier relationships.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align logistics operations with company goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Provide coaching, training, and career development for team members.
• Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
