About The Position

The Carrier Marketing Team Lead role will lead the marketing and placement of all employee benefits products for our existing clients and prospects. This non-client facing role will work with the sales and service teams as well as our carrier partners to secure the best available options for our clients and prospects. Develop extensive knowledge and expertise of carrier markets and their ability to provide the best contracts and pricing. Develop cooperative professional relationships with our carrier representatives and their underwriters for the purpose of achieving the desired results for our clients. Analyze client needs and compare with existing coverage to identify potential gaps, opportunities, and solutions. Advocate for the client by developing detailed knowledge of our client, their goals, needs, and unique exposures. Ensure proposals and recommendations align clients with the right carrier partners and products. Work with the sales and service teams to market both new and renewal business. Professionally educate the team through detailed illustrations of coverage options. Initiate a consultation with the appropriate account members to introduce them to the nuances of a new product. Produce accurate proposals. Follow all procedures in new account and renewal process. Assist in the annual review process for client accounts.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and take direction from multiple sources.
  • Must be accurate, detailed, and thorough.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • College graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Possession and maintenance of a broker's license in required states.
