Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of directly related TL capacity development and carrier management experience, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Flatbed procurement experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Analytical thinker capable of evaluating rates and demonstrating data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Quality-driven and results-oriented mindset.
  • Problem-solver with an understanding of freight market dynamics and trends.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to creating value for both carriers and clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a 3PL environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with McLeod and MercuryGate TMS systems preferred.
  • Experience with cross-border freight processes preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Carrier Development Manager and operations team to expand and strengthen TA Services’ carrier network.
  • Analyze market trends and carrier performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to convert spot-market carriers into long-term contractual partners.
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to align carrier strategies with customer requirements and service goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships across all modes—including truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, expedited, and air freight—to support TA Services’ objectives of meaningful relationships, competitive rates, and risk mitigation.
