About The Position

The position involves assisting new and existing customers with solutions that best meet their needs while meeting and exceeding sales and service performance expectations. The role requires a proactive approach to customer service and sales, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of services, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One or more years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License and insurable record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screen, physical and background checks.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, reviews, and disseminates service orders, ASR, FOC and service provisioning documentation for accurate and timely delivery of necessary services.
  • Tracks carrier customers to ensure prompt and full payment for services.
  • Initiates collection steps that will prevent bad debt from accruing, submits delinquent notices, and suspends services when needed.
  • Issues, tracks, confirms, reports, and alerts appropriate internal and external departments of service installation, service changes, and/or service terminations.
  • Assists Management in working with vendor’s sales staff for acquiring quotes for circuit services and ancillary services to complement VTX1 network.
  • Works with carrier vendors to resolve any service or billing conflicts upon the direction of Management.
  • Contacts and visits selected wholesale domestic and International accounts to meet sales targets and budgets.
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Provides VTX1’s Management with customer updates regarding potential and stated competitive threats.
  • Works with VTX1 support departments to ensure customer feedback regarding service is channeled to the proper personnel for disposition.
  • Prepares necessary reports for VTX1 regarding the status of the wholesale carrier customers.
  • Keeps good records of customers' contract start date and contract end date for renegotiations.
  • Maintains an accurate, up-to-date circuit and service database, including follow-up reminders of all VTX1 customer services.
  • Creates electronic folders to hold Service Order Agreements, IRU, Addendum, etc.
  • Assists in conducting random audits as to what is being billed versus provisioned.
  • Develops expertise for current billing and financial system.
  • Quotes and negotiates prices and credit terms, prepares contracts and issues Service Orders.
  • Coordinates with the network sales engineer to create and present proposals that successfully meet customers’ communications requirements.
  • Provides RFP responses to high profile wholesale accounts.
  • Identifies, qualifies, and develops long-term positive, professional relationships with carriers.
  • Remains up to date on all relevant OSHA safety or departmental specific standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
