This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of our client facility floors, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment. Job Description Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing. • Operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and burnishers. • Respond promptly to spills and other floor-related maintenance needs to ensure safety and prevent accidents. • Apply appropriate floor finishes and treatments according to established procedures. • Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional care or repairs. • Dispose of waste materials and follow proper cleaning protocols. • Assist with carpet cleaning, spot treatments, and stain removal as necessary. • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects. • Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies. • Work collaboratively with custodial and maintenance teams to maintain high cleanliness standards. • Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: • High school diploma or GED preferred. • 6 or more months experience as a floor technician or in janitorial services is required. • Knowledge of floor care equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures. • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. • Completion of significant safety training is required.
