Position Summary The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
  • Proven experience estimating projects valued at $5 million or more.
  • Advanced project management skills, including the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire construction project lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources for successful project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractor work to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Manage project accounting functions, including budgeting, expense tracking, and risk mitigation.
  • Review and approve project costs and subcontractor invoices.
  • Prepare and submit pay applications for owner approval.
  • Maintain adherence to project schedules and make adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and revise project work plans as required.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors and stakeholders throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate efforts among architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor construction progress and conduct regular status meetings.
  • Ensure strict compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Analyze subcontractor proposals and manage project buyouts.
  • Oversee submittals and collaborate with Project Engineer.
  • Prepare and issue change orders as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Track costs and manage cash flow throughout the project.
  • Oversee project closeout, including punch list completion, distribution of closeout materials, and final acceptance by the client.
