Carpentry Instructor
About The Position
Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Billerica, Massachusetts, is currently accepting applications for an opening for a Carpentry Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualified applicants must be licensed as a Massachusetts Chapter 74 Carpentry Instructor or possess the qualifications to become licensed. In this role the qualified candidate would develop and deliver carpentry lessons to high school students enrolled in grades 9 through 12. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in all phases of rough framing, interior and exterior finish work, print reading and estimating skills, and a working knowledge of current Massachusetts State Building Codes. Previous teaching experience preferred with a focus on training and mentoring students to learn the skills and competencies necessary to be successful in the carpentry industry. Massachusetts SEI Endorsement preferred. Requirements
