The Carpentry Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in carpentry courses, collaborating with college staff and industry partners to ensure program relevance and quality. Key duties include evaluating student performance, maintaining accurate records, participating in program planning and accreditation, and staying current with industry developments. The instructor is expected to promote a safe and respectful learning environment, advise and mentor students, and adhere to professional ethics and college policies. Additionally, the role involves planning and implementing curriculum, creating a conducive classroom environment, guiding student learning, assessing accomplishments, diagnosing learning strengths and weaknesses, counseling students and parents, assisting with administrative policies, supervising support personnel, utilizing technology in teaching, and maintaining accurate records. All employees are expected to attend meetings, seek professional development, promote student achievement, maintain positive communication, support employee retention, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
