About The Position
Blanc & Bailey Construction Inc. is seeking skilled Carpenters and Subcontractors to join our team in Charlestown, New Hampshire. This position offers excellent pay and benefits, with the added flexibility of a four-day work week option. As a Carpenter or Subcontractor, you will be responsible for a variety of construction tasks, including the installation of foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using a range of materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites. You will also fit and install window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, and both interior and exterior trim. Your expertise will be crucial in building or repairing cabinets, doors, framework, floors, and other wooden fixtures using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools. In addition to these primary responsibilities, you will complete drywall installation, which includes hanging, mudding, and finishing. Erecting scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level will also be part of your duties. You will need to shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws, and remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures for repair or replacement. Moving necessary materials around the job site as assigned and cleaning up worksite debris are also essential tasks. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to follow established safety rules and regulations while maintaining a clean work environment. Additional responsibilities include proper tracking of project time utilizing construction software, receiving and following instructions, and effectively communicating with co-workers. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety are essential. All responsibilities must be carried out in a positive and professional manner. BBCI requires all Carpenter and Subcontractor staff to be available for a 40-hour work week, and candidates must possess a valid driver's license and their own carpenter hand tools. Compensation for Carpenters and Subcontractors will be based on experience and performance.
