Our work is 100% turnkey – so once the old piping is replaced, our drywall, paint, and carpentry teams are responsible for every final touch, including general labor tasks as directed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, precise, patient, production-oriented, and possesses a willingness to “do whatever it takes” to facilitate the completion of each unit. This role is intended to be a full-time hourly position, based in San Diego, and reports to a Project Manager.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, punch lists, and specifications
  • Proficient with hand and power tools relevant to finish carpentry
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as scheduled
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to support various field tasks with a positive “no job is too big or too small” attitude
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken, with good communication skills
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50-75 lbs, be capable of working at heights in high‑rise environments, and able to climb stairs and ladders

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 certification
  • a high school diploma or GED
  • be proficient in Spanish
  • have prior related military experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete punch-list items on residential units, including final carpentry, trim, and finish work
  • Install, adjust, and repair wood as needed including windows and doors, hardware, baseboards, casing, crown molding, trim, cabinets, shelving, and closet systems
  • Ensure all carpentry work meets design specifications, building codes, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to resolve outstanding items efficiently
  • Perform minor touch-ups and adjustments required for final inspections, walkthroughs, and close-out
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas within occupied or near-completion units
  • Meet project deadlines to support timely unit turnover and delivery
  • Assist with the safe and timely movement of materials throughout the project
  • Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and job-site protocols
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, residents, and others
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
  • Identify and recommend process improvements, ensuring improved quality and deliverables
