Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years recent experience performing maintenance work in building related trades.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and care to avoid structural breakdowns.
  • Abel to respond to direct and radio requests as soon as possible.
  • Able to maintain proper neat uniform appearance.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • If state law requires, must possess a valid boiler license.
  • Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance.
  • General record keeping skills.
  • Customer service orientation and sensitivity to diverse needs of coworkers, employees, and other persons contacted in the daily course of work.
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of building related vocational - technical programs are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able/willing to transfer into Local union.
  • Must be willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays, and after hours (after 3:30 PM CST) when on call.
  • Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
  • Fits and installs doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using necessary power tools and materials.
  • Responsible for constructing varies tasks from scratch such as lock up boxes.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as: ordering material and writing purchase orders, expense receipts, and data entry for work reports via iPhone app.
  • Maintains a neat, clean and safe work area and drop location (Material ordering).
  • Responsible to make daily checks on all materials that were on order.
  • Manage communications for completed service calls in a timely manner as required.
  • Performs all duties in a timely, efficient, & professional manner.
