We are looking for hardworking, punctual, and motivated individuals with strong carpentry skills to join the BoxPop division of Britten, Inc.. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the skilled trades and have a talent in this area. This individual will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are manufactured to world class specifications. A resourceful mindset and passion for custom fabrication and manufacturing is essential. Job Summary and Job Functions Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures, fabricate according to blueprints and shop drawing requirements Operating the appropriate carpentry, fabrication and/or power tool equipment, following all safety precautions and procedures as required Determine the appropriate equipment, tools and/or methods needed to ensure customer requirements are met Using precise measurement tools during the fabrication process Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Utilize other hand and power tools as is deemed necessary to get the job done Willingness and ability to follow MIOSHA and company safety guidelines and protocols Align with and believe in the company core values: We Say Yes, We Hustle, We Think Bigger, We Keep Promises, We Build People Up Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to be exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position. Requirements

  • Proven experience in a carpentry or skilled trades capacity
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Must have an eye for detail and be reliable with a “we say yes” attitude
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as, work effectively within a team

Responsibilities
