About The Position

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent required.
• Knowledge of construction framing/finishing or general carpentry required.
• Five years in carpentry field required.
• Driver's License
• Act 34

Nice To Haves

• Two years' experience in institutional maintenance preferred.
• General knowledge of email, Word and other common software programs preferred

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain ceiling systems such as but limited to acoustical tile and suspension systems.
• Must have knowledge of and experience with Fire/smoke door assemblies as it relates to the installation, inspection and repair.
• Set hollow metal door jambs and hang doors.
• Install and repair various flooring systems.
• Knowledge of general construction techniques and materials such as ability to install metals studs and drywall, install glass and glazing.
• Is able to work at heights off of ladders and scaffold in order to perform maintenance, repairs and new installation of above systems
• Assists in snow removal duties
• Performs wheelchair and litter maintenance and repairs.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read a rule.
• Have experience and can demonstrate the ability to repair Class I builders hardware both cylindrical and mortise style.
• Available for on call.
