This position constructs, erects, installs, fabricates, dismantles and repairs structures, formwork and fixtures of wood, metal forms and associated accessories. No per diem available

Requirements

DISA background and drug screen
High school or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing /data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment

Responsibilities

Studies blueprints, sketches or structural plans for information pertaining to the type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated
Selects specified types of lumber or other materials
Prepares layouts including lines and grades
Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials
Shapes materials to prescribed measurements
Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together
Erects framework for structures and lays sub-flooring
Builds stairs and lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work
Covers sub-floor with building paper to keep out moisture and lays hardwood, parquet and wood-strip-block floors
Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware such as locks, letter drops and kick plates
Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures below ground, at ground level or above ground level
Fabricates from work then loads, hauls, and carries it to the job site and installs per drawings, sketches or plans
Places and finishes concrete in formwork and sets and aligns form panels
Sets grout forms for epoxy and cement grout.
