About The Position

This person will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle material. Responsible for leading and executing carpentry projects of varying complexity. This role involves carpentry skills, including the ability to interpret blueprints, guide helpers, and manage project timelines and resources effectively. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience is required for this position. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. Cutting rods to length and placing them where they are supposed to go. Construct forms or chutes for pouring concrete. Verify trueness of structure, set grade, check for plumb, etc. Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt. Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars. Maintain clean jobsite, pickup tools/equipment, secure jobsite, eliminate potential hazards. Bending steel rods with hand tools and welding metal components. Replace doors, walls and build stairs as needed. Adding strength and stability to finished concrete structures such as foundations, walls, and columns. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience is required for this position
  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas, see and hear naturally or with correction
  • Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties
  • Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure
  • Requires repetitive movement
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
