The Carpenter II position performs a variety of general carpentry tasks in campus buildings, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of doors, windows, walls, floors, locks, closures, ceilings, cabinetry, and furniture. Work involves framing, hanging, and finishing drywall/plaster; laying brick, block, and ceramic tile; forming and pouring concrete; and assembling or repairing furniture, shelving, and bulletin boards. This is considered an essential employee position that requires on-site presence and availability to work during university closures and emergencies.
