About The Position
The Carpenter Helper is responsible for completing basic tasks that require physical labor on large industrial construction sites. Work will consist of assisting with installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs but not limited to underground raceways, squaring of foundations, forming of foundations, pouring and finishing of foundations, generator slabs, miscellaneous foundations and layout of all of the above.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of construction experience
- Ability to communicate on all levels.
- Must have adequate/reliable transportation to the jobsite daily.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Nice To Haves
- Concrete finisher.
Responsibilities
- General construction clean up.
- Assists in material distribution.
- Learns code requirements.
- Maintains a safe and secures work environment and attend safety meetings.
- Loads and unloads building materials to be used in construction.
- Operates or tends equipment and machines used.
- Follows construction plans and instructions.
