About The Position

Here at Skilled Trades Partners Inc., we are looking for a Skilled Carpenter Helper for a Temp-Hire position we have available in North Stonington, CT. This is a great opportunity to prove yourself and become a Full Time employee with a company doing Shop work and to be trained in cabinetry and high end finish work.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in general carpentry and finish carpentry
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in residential construction
• Experience with framing and structural assemblies
• Strong understanding of job-site safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for hands-on work
• Reliability, punctuality, and accountability
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• 3+ years experience(preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Prior high-end residential construction experience(preferred)
• High school diploma or relevant trade certification(preferred)

Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood, plywood, aluminum, and composite material
• Framing and structural assembly for residential and outdoor structures
• Finish carpentry, including doors, trim, cabinetry, stairs, and architectural details
• Assisting with custom pergola and outdoor structure installations
• Safely operating hand and power tools while maintaining clean, organized job sites
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Coordinating with project managers and fellow trades to meet project schedules
