About The Position

A Site Services Helper performs a variety of duties to assist in maintaining facilities and equipment, often under the direction of a supervisor. This role involves assisting with repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of buildings and equipment, as well as providing support for more skilled tasks.

Requirements

1-year industrial construction experience preferred
Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Maintain vigilance regarding safety protocols and work quality.
Proficient in effective communication with supervisors and tradespeople.
Ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
Ability to Follow Instructions from supervisors

Responsibilities

Support the lead carpenter by executing fundamental tasks that aid in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures.
Collecting materials, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and utilizing hand and power tools under supervision.
Assist with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials, and learn to perform layout tasks independently. Ensure work areas, machines, and equipment are cleaned to uphold a safe and efficient job site.
Select and transport the necessary tools, equipment, and materials for the day's tasks to the work area. Aid in setting up and relocating work areas as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to place and finish small amounts of concrete for housekeeping pads, stoops, sidewalks, etc.
Ensure the work area is consistently stocked with required materials and tools.
Assist in demolition tasks as needed to ensure safety.
Maintain cleanliness in the work area and restock supplies and materials as required.
Acquire skills in using appropriate hand and power tools to assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, plumbing, and other tasks.
