About The Position

Montante Construction is seeking a Commercial Carpenter to join our growing team for our Buffalo, NY office. Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years of experience working in commercial construction, required
  • OSHA 10 or 30 safety training preferred, OSHA 10 certification will be assigned upon hire.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practice of OSHA safety standards.
  • General knowledge of carpentry work including basic cold formed or wood framing, and the installation of millwork, doors, frames, ceilings, & hardware.
  • Ability to work as an adaptable team player with independent accountability on assigned tasks
  • Positive, timely, and clear communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to install cold-formed or wood framing, and/or install millwork, ceilings, doors, frames, or hardware.
  • Ensure that project safety measures are always maintained.
  • Clearly communicate any concerns to the project team specific to project safety, quality and/or schedule.
  • Assist the property management and/or solar teams on an as needed basis with tasks that may include minor carpentry support, clean-up, and painting.
  • Other duties as assigned by project management
